A preview photo from director Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu remake has been released featuring Nicholas Hoult and a blurry tease of Bill Skarsgård‘s Count Orlok.
Okay, it’s not much, but it’s a start! Here’s what Eggers (The Witch, The Lighthouse, The Northman) recently had to say about the movie:
It’s a scary film. It’s a horror movie. It’s a Gothic horror movie. And I do think that there hasn’t been an old-school Gothic movie that’s actually scary in a while. And I think that the majority of audiences will find this one to be the case.
And on the subject of Skarsgård, Eggers had some promising words:
I’ll say that Bill has so transformed, I’m fearful that he might not get the credit that he deserves because he’s just… he’s not there.
And for forgetting, we’ve already had a first look at Lily-Rose Depp in the film, too! And if you missed it, here it is:
I’m really excited about this latest reimagining of the classic gothic tale. Also starring in the movie is Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man: No Way Home), Emma Corrin (Deadpool 3), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kraven the Hunter), Simon McBurney (The Conjuring 2) and Ralph Ineson (The Witch).
