The TV planning site JustWatch has enhanced its planning abilities. I’ve always described the site as a search engine, but now with JustWatch Lists it’s a bit more. The new enhancements offer;
- IMDb imports: Movie and TV show buffs can import their IMDb lists with only three clicks, allowing them to filter the movies and shows by streaming service, genre, price, and other attributes.
- Creating and Sharing: Users can create numerous lists and share them with friends and family for a movie night, binge-watching, or to keep them organised.
- TV Show Tracking: Users can also track and update their TV show progress and receive notifications when new or unwatched episodes become available.
We also have the site’s top ten stats for the US and the UK for movies and TV shows. We can see the impact of Scott Pilgrim Takes Off in the data.

For TV shows, Fargo claims the crown and Bodies from the forehead and down.
The JustWatch app is also available on Google Play, with over 10 million downloads and the Apple App Store.
Why is it so popular? Well, in the US there’s Disney+, NBCUniversal, Apple TV+, Prime Video, Netflix, Max (once known as HBO Max), Paramount+ and Peacock to sort through.
In the UK, there’s Disney+, Apple TV+, Prime Video, Netflix, Paramount+, Now, which is Sky, Sky, BritBox, My4 and others.
I think the Lists feature should let you pick what you think will be most popular next month and reward you with a badge if you’re right.
What do you think? Measured observations are welcome and you can leave them in the comment section below.
