If you love D&D and you love stamps, you’re in luck… as the United States Postal Service has released a fabulously detailed set of ‘Forever’ stamps to celebrate 50 years of Dungeons & Dragons!
The artwork, designed by artist Greg Breeding, looks absolutely glorious and just what we’d hope from D&D stamps! These stamps will be available to buy in 2024.
Here’s the official statement from USPS:
This stamp release marks the 50th anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons, described by its owners as the World’s Greatest Role-playing Game, which has become a cultural phenomenon. …The pane of 20 stamps features 10 different designs that highlight characters, creatures, and encounters familiar to players of the game. Greg Breeding, an art director for USPS, designed the stamps and pane with existing illustrations.
My favourite is the peaceful dragons with the blue sky and landscape (because I love dragons, despite the fact that when I play it’s mostly all about the loot and kicking ass).
What do you think of these stamps? Might you be tempted – or is stamp collecting really not your bag?
