In some exciting and unexpected news, The National Space Centre in Leicester is teaming up with the UK Games Expo to bring us a board gaming event unlike anything we’ve ever seen!
The event is called To Boldly Game and will be an entire weekend ‘celebrating the best of table-top gaming’ – as well as providing a means to showcase and discover the best upcoming games via exhibitors from across the United Kingdom.
Picture sitting down in the galleries of the National Space Centre to try out a new board game in the shadow of a rocket tower, or amongst real space-flown artefacts – that’s exactly what you’re being promised with To Boldly Game!
That, alongside space-themed miniature painting, and roleplaying games, alongside games made specifically for families or to support learning in schools makes this event really stand out to us here at Geek Native.
It sounds like a great experience to go along to with friends or family, and will include exhibitors such as Camden Games, Pandemonium Institute and Imagination Gaming – plus many more to still be announced closer to the date!
On top of that, East Midlands Megagaming will also provide drop-in sessions of their megagame Den of Wolves, which combines roleplay and board gaming so you can experience survival in space against the odds! This one really appeals to me, because games set in space are totally my thing.
You can find out the latest on To Boldly Game, learn more about the event, and purchase tickets (when they’re available) by visiting the National Space Centre’s official website.
