The Grinning Frog’s 25th Kickstarter has smashed its funding goal as backers like their chances with the solo play sci-fi adventure Starship Scavengers – Station Thirty One.
On offer is the v supplement to Starship Scavengers, and it doubles up as sci-fi setting material suitable for games like Traveller or Starfinder. You can find out more on the pitch page.
The Station Thirty One adventure expands the core solo game with new aliens and equipment, challenging players with new hazards.
You need the core Starship Scavengers rules to play, but they’re available as add-ons for all backers at £15 extra.
This expansion includes the time limit on the game and emphasises replayabilty. It also comes with its adventure deck of cards (if you want) printed on tarot-sized 400gsm card stock.
An abandoned orbital research station. Its orbit is fading, in a matter of days it will burn up in the atmosphere of the planet below. Just enough time to get in, get whatever is of value inside and get out. Just enough.
Backers at £8 will get a PDF copy of Station Thirty One and unlock the core rules, Frontier Gazette and Moon Crash as add-ons.
There are other Grinning Frog games in this campaign at reward tiers, for example, £9 is the Star Trader Pocket Game, but we’ll just focus on .
The 52-pages, A5 and staple bound print edition is the £10 reward. It’s £15 for Station Thirty One in both print and PDF.
Gamers with £21 to pledge to get the print, PDF and cards for Station Thirty One.
There’s even an £80 with Station Thirty One, Frontier Gazette #01, HMB Brutus Adventure, Moon Crash, the core rules and cards.
The campaign wraps up on the 3rd of January, and The Grinning Frog will try to deliver the game that same month.
