Newly-launched Atlanta animation studio Lightfold has released the first trailer for Godspeed, an animated sci-fi adventures series that’ll take audiences on an intense and stormy space adventure!
The trailer looks really interesting – loving the all the atmospheric scenes, but it also seems like a very emotional journey.
The movie centres on “Iris (Bryce Charles) and her adorable karaoke-bot sidekick named Bowie as they navigate the desolate landscape and abandoned homes of their crumbling world. Her path takes an unexpected turn when they stumble upon a mysterious broadcast that holds the key to their escape. To get the message, she must survive a planet-ending storm.”
The series was created by Final Space‘s Olan Rogers and stars Troy Baker (The Last of Us), Claudia Black (Farscape, The Nevers), Coty Galloway, and also Rogers himself.
The project was actually funded through Kickstarter, and as I understand it, won its funding in under 24 hours. Godspeed will begin streaming on December 15th via their website and on YouTube.
