Okay, it turns out some brands are cooler and braver than others! Step forward The Alley, with food and drink outlets worldwide, including the USA and London. Hey, if they make it to Edinburgh, I’d check them out.
The Alley has teamed up with Crunchyroll for a Jujutsu Kaisen partnership.
At a stroke, The Alley has gone from a brand I’d not heard of to one in a strong position on my radar. Why is it a brave move, though? Jujutsu Kaisen begins when a plucky high schooler eats a dead man’s fingers, takes on his curse, and thus unlocks occult battle powers.
The Alley won’t sell corpse flesh to line up with the action horror but drinks and merchandise.
The Jujutsu Kaisen limited edition collab is available from January the 1st and is based on season 2, JUJUTSU KAISEN Hidden Inventory / Premature Death, of the show.
There are three Jujutsu Kaisen drinks in the collection;
- Gojo’s Limitless Coconut Smoothie
- Geto’s Powerful Tropical Smoothie
- Riko’s Optimistic Milk Tea
Customers will also get products and with-purchase-freebies exclusively with The Alley, such as branded cup sleeves and stickers, with merchandise such as keychains and coasters.
The feature film for the show, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, won Best Animated Feature at the 2023 Crunchyroll Awards.
