- The Haggis Heist: As midnight strikes Hogmanay, a mischievous Haggis Spirit snatches the village’s prized, ancient haggis recipe. The party must delve into the Otherworld, a realm of feasting fairies and grumpy bogles, to retrieve the recipe and save the village’s New Year’s feast. Think platforming challenges on bowls of neeps and tatties, riddles from a drunken bard, and a final showdown with the Haggis Spirit, armed with a peppercorn slingshot.
- The First Foot Fiasco: The party is tasked with delivering the coveted first foot – a lucky stranger bearing gifts – to the village chieftain on Hogmanay. However, a series of mishaps and mischievous pranks orchestrated by naughty brownies and mischievous firbolgs keep throwing them off course. From getting lost in a swirling snowstorm of riddles to navigating a kilt-wearing obstacle course on Loch Ness, the party must overcome hilarious chaos to ensure a prosperous New Year for the village.
- The Wild Hunt of Auld Lang Syne: As the bells toll midnight, a ghostly hunting party led by a vengeful bagpiper tears through the village, seeking to claim a living soul. The party must decipher ancient songs and folklore to understand the bagpiper’s grudge and find a way to appease him. This adventure can involve exploring haunted castles, solving cryptic carvings on standing stones, and facing spectral hounds in a thrilling chase through the snowy wilderness.
- The Ceilidh of Lost Spirits: On Hogmanay, the veil between worlds grows thin, and the party stumbles upon a hidden portal to the Land of Lost Celebrations. This realm is inhabited by the spirits of forgotten holidays and festivities, trapped in an eternal ceilidh. To escape, the party must join the dance, learn the forgotten steps of each lost celebration, and help the spirits find their way to peace. Expect encounters with a polka-playing kelpie, a tango-dancing banshee, and a conga line of mischievous gremlins.
- The Hogmanay Heist of Hoardrum the Dragon: In a twist on the usual New Year’s generosity, a greedy dragon named Hoardrum steals all the village’s Hogmanay treasures – gold coins, lucky charms, even the haggis! The party must infiltrate Hoardrum’s lair, a mountaintop cave filled with traps and riddles, to retrieve the loot before dawn breaks and the dragon wakes up from its Hogmanay feast. This adventure can involve scaling icy cliffs, using clever disguises to outwit dragon hatchlings, and facing Hoardrum in a fire-breathing battle amidst piles of glittering treasure.
