Mickey… quit it, already!
It seems 2024 is the year of Mickey Mouse horrors – which may even become its own genre – as this is the second Mickey Mouse horror trailer I’ve posted so far this year (and it’s only the 2nd January!).
So, following on from yesterday’s news of the Infestation 88 video game trailer being released due to Steamboat Willie coming into public domain, now we have Mickey Mouse Trap, the trailer for a horror film at a fun fair.
The film itself doesn’t look like anything special, to be honest… just your regular slasher horror film featuring some teenagers and a psycho in a mask. Only this time, the mask is Mickey Mouse, and even from the trailer alone you can tell they’ve made the most of Steamboat Willie, featuring original clips.
Mickey’s Mouse Trap stars Sophie McIntosh, Callum Sywyk, Allegra Nocita, Ben Harris, Damir Kovic, Mackenzie Mills, Nick Biskupek and Simon Phillips.
So, yeah… this is a thing that’s happening, and people are without a doubt going to pay to go and see it when it comes out in cinemas on March 24th. Hmmm.
