An official Dungeons & Dragons LEGO set is coming as fans got the project through LEGO Ideas. However, there’s no sign of it in the Ideas store so we’re left with two questions;
- When is the D&D x LEGO set due out?
- How much will it cost?
LEGO sleuth 1414falconfan has some thoughts, perhaps knowledge, on what’s coming on with the remarkable design by Ideas contest winner Lucas Bolt.
The rumours are that the set will cost $359.99 and will be due out in April.
2024 makes sense for D&D as the granddaddy of roleplaying games turns 50. April? It’s possible. Gary Con happens on March 21, but I’m not sure if either LEGO or WotC will coordinate with that.
In 2024, though, we’re expecting more than a book a quarter from Wizards of the Coast. The book schedule looks like this;
- Descent into the Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth – 2024
- Vecna: Eve of Ruin – 2024
- 2024 Player’s Handbook – 2024
- The Making of Original Dungeons and Dragons: 1970-1976 – 2024
- Quests from the Infinite Staircase – 2024
What about the new rules/not new rules? The 2024 Player’s Handbook is happening but it’s possible we won’t see new Dungeon Master’s Guides and Monster Manual editions until 2025.
