You can get Icons of Rage for Onyx Path’s Werewolf: The Apocalypse 20th Anniversary range from DriveThruRPG. As confirmed on Monday, Icons of Rage is the last W20 the RPG publisher will male.
In their Monday briefing, Onyx Path said;
Now, this Wednesday, Icons of Rage for W20 goes on sale, and as our last Werewolf: The Apocalypse 20th Anniversary project it’d be cool if it had some time in the spotlight too! But whether it it does or doesn’t, we had a superlative run with W20. It was the first core 20th Anniversary book Onyx Path created, our first huge Kickstarter and subsequently our first idea of how wild a huge campaign could be.
Werewolf, now owned by Paradox, is up to its 5th edition (but not 5th Edition), and Renegade publishes the tabletop RPG. Paradox has or had high hopes for the angry eco-apocalypse setting, which seems so very appropriate for today, and there’s a fairly recent computer game to match.
Icons of Rage has two dozen detailed characters for the game, each with story hooks to loop into Werewolf games as allies, contacts or even as villains.
Every Garou has a story.
Some stories are brief. They unfortunately end with an inexperienced werewolf rushing in to face more than they can handle. As the Apocalypse approaches, these stories are depressingly common.
Most stories are longer. They tell of werewolves who grow into their roles, who perform their duties, who live and die in honorable service to their packs, septs, and the Nation.Yet other stories also exist. These tales may be long or short, but they tell of Garou who overcame their challenges, who became pinnacles of their auspices and whatever goals they pursued. They tell of those Garou who we should hold up as examples to what can be accomplished even in the face of the onrushing Apocalypse.
These Garou are the Icons of Rage.
Werewolf: The Apocalypse 20th Anniversary Edition is in the “New Year, New Game” sale and reduced by $10 for the next little while.
