Italy-based Mondiversi have hit their funding target for Red Borg. The tabletop RPG has characters fighting power, sabotaging factories and conquering freedom.
An English and Italian version will be produced, and you don’t need any other book to play. You can see progress over on the, er, sales pitch.
There’s a free quickstart, and to grab it, you have to trade email address with Mondiversi.
The setting has a rich elite send the poor and young to war or feed them into dangerous factories. Those who try to oppose the ruling class of landlords, bureaucrats and politicians are arrested or killed.
It’s time for a revolution and characters in Red Borg are revolutionary.
Red Borg is a roleplaying game that casts you as revolutionaries fighting against the powers that be, letting you to play through historical revolutions such as the soviet one, or through fictional events set in the present, past or even the future, such as the conquest of Venus!
The missions you will undertake can be set in cities, where secret organisations scheme and move in the shadows where the powerful cannot see, or on the open field of battle, among epic clashes and conquests.
Backers at €10 get the Red Borg as a thank-you reward and access to the add-ons. Tracked shipping is an add-on, and that’s an interesting touch.
A physical copy of the book is added to the rewards at €25 and worldwide shipping is on offer.
The Supreme Soviet tier adds in a t-shirt, die, 4 metals, a pencil, a badge and a character sheet and above that, there’s a retailer option.
Red Borg runs on Kickstarter until only the 12th of February, which is a short campaign, and delivery is slated for May 2024.
