Grim & Perilous Studios published content for the grim and perilous setting of the Zweihander RPG game.
The publisher was helmed by Adam Rose, with Dejan Mandic, Jussi Alarauhio, Ken Duquet, Kayla Peek, Peter Rubin-Burgess, Nick O’Hare, Chuck Kranz, Jennifer Rose, Jeff Heising, Matthew Jowett, Sean Van Damme and Tanner Yea all attached. That’s changed. The studio announced they’ve overcome hardship and shifted focus in games, suggesting it’s time for a new start.
As a result, Grim & Perilous is shutting down and will be replaced with something new. Most of the team, but not all, are starting a new publishing company called Cannon Otter Studio.
In a blog post, the team channels Douglas Adams and says, “Thanks for all the fish!”.
We are very excited to announce that as we retire Grim & Perilous, we are creating a new studio, with most of our original team, to focus on creating content that better reflects where we are in our game creating journey.
There’s a Kickstarter already on the way called Teenage Oddyssey.
Cannon Otter says of Teenage Oddyssey that;
You are going to receive a wonderfully illustrated, questionably written TTRPG based on Mark of the Odd by Chriss McDowall. Teenage Oddyssey is a stand-alone product that contains everything you need to play.
