Typhon Games is new, launching with When We Die, but one of the British TTRPG publishers’ first actions has been to merge with Mindjammer Press.
Mindjammer isn’t new, with games like Capharnaum and Chronicles of Future Earth under its belt and with The Lair of the Leopard Empress marking a return after a bereavement spun the indie into a state of shocked suspension.
A statement on the merger says;
With much sympathy, Typhon Games understands the extraordinary circumstances of why Mindjammer Press had delays with completing their outstanding Kickstarters. By both companies coming together, Typhon Games takes the responsibility and pledges to complete the fulfilment of Chronicles of Future Earth Roleplaying Game and Capharnaum – The Roleplaying Game to backers.
Sarah Newton, the founder of Mindjammer, isn’t going anywhere and will be joining Typhon Games as a director along with Garry Harper and Jason Juta.
Sarah Newton said,
I’ve worked with Garry and Jason for many years, and have immense respect for their creative and management abilities, and immense gratitude for their work keeping Mindjammer Press going over the past few extraordinary years. Joining them at Typhon Games marks a milestone in my RPG publishing career, and a fantastic opportunity for us to renew our existing RPG and fiction properties, and of course to develop a whole host of new ones! I’m excited to see what this new venture will bring, beginning with the release in March 2024 of The Chronicles of Future Earth!
