Bizarre British super-powered sitcom, Extraordinary, is returning to Hulu (Disney+ in the UK) for a second season. And the trailer is out now.
In season 1 we met Jen, played by Máiréad Tyers (Belfast), a non-super-powered 25-year-old in a world where everyone gets a superpower the moment they turn 18. She’s living with her flatmate, Carrie, and has just taken in a stray cat who she has named Jizzlord. Yes, I’m serious. It’s very British.
Jen wants to get her superpower, and what she does to try to achieve this covers a lot of the first season. Oh, yes – and Jizzlord, it turns out, is a human who had forgotten how to turn back from a cat. Now the trailer probably makes a bit more sense.
It’s a little bit of Spaced mixed with Encanto, and I blitzed the entire show in a day last year. And after the cliffhanger it left season 1 on, I am going to be watching this as soon as it comes out.
Expect more extraordinary goings on, on March 6th 2024.
