You can pre-order James Groman’s 15″ Stranger Things Demogorgon now.
Have you seen enough of the Demogorgon? This one is a Christmas version with glow-in-the-dark lights. The head (if you want to call it that), legs, arms, and even the wrists can be articulated.
Each Demogorgon comes with swappable heads and hands, which, if you’ll allow me, is a horrible power for the demons to have!
Furthermore, each Demogorgon comes with a Dart. These are the tadpole-like horrors from the Upside Down (s2) that Dustin found.
What do we know of the Stranger Things Demogorgon?
Physical Features:
- Humanoid: While distinctly monstrous, Demogorgons have a vaguely humanoid shape with powerful limbs and claws.
- Faceless Head: Their horrifying heads are petal-like, opening to reveal rows of razor-sharp teeth. They lack traditional eyes or a nose.
- Interdimensional Travel: Demogorgons can tear open temporary portals between the Upside Down and our world, allowing them to travel between dimensions.
Weaknesses:
- Heat and Light: They are sensitive to bright light and heat, explaining why they mainly operate in the dark and the Upside Down.
- Psychic Link?: Eleven’s psychic powers seem to impact them, particularly when she seals the main gate to the Upside Down. This suggests they might be vulnerable to psychic assaults.
Evolution:
- Throughout the series, we witness different stages of the Demogorgon life cycle:
- Slug-Like: “Dart” starts as a small, slug-like creature.
- Demodogs: These adolescent forms are quadrupedal and vicious.
- Mature Demogorgon: The full-grown adult form seen in Season 1 is the most powerful and terrifying.
Unanswered Questions:
- Intelligence: It’s unclear how intelligent Demogorgons are independent of the Mind Flayer’s control.
- Reproduction: We don’t know how Demogorgons reproduce or if there is a social hierarchy among them.
These critters aren’t cheap; collectable models never are, and this umbral horror will set you back $275.
