How’s your Christmas planning going? Dicebound thinks they can help and have a November shipping date slated for their Dungeons & Dice Advent calendars.
It’s a Kickstarter project, but they’ve done this before, and the Canadian couple have already hit funding target.
This year’s twist is that Dicebound is aiming to offer more than just calendars. There will be mystery boxes and art.
The calendars are like a loot box because the retail worth of their contents should be more than the price tag. The same applies to the other boxes, which might include coins, enamel pins and key chains.
I like the geeky wrapping paper, which is an add-on as well! Lastly, at least in this summary, let’s call out that in a world of AI art, Dicebound has a timelapse of Marissa Rose painting some of the art. You can see it’s all human and enjoy the process, too.
For just CA$5, backers unlock a sticker and a quality art postcard, but they are somewhat constrained by which countries they can ship to. An art poster is available for CA$10.
Sadly, the tiers I investigated are restricted to Canada and United States only. I concede that it’s a sensible choice for the small company and manages expectations too.
Those who back CA$25 unlock a 7-door mystery box of the colour palette of choice. CA$40 a giclee archival print on a smooth cotton rag paper base and CA$44 a 7-door gift box.
The titular advent calendar is the reward for backers at CA$75, and that’s about £44 for reference.
However, the tiers go higher with the Ultimated Advent Calendar bundle unlocking at CA$125, another at CA$265 and one more at CA$295.
All the tiers have an estimated delivery date of November this year, and the campaign runs until April 11th.
