Buckle in, because the latest trailer just dropped for director George Miller’s Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga and it’s a doozy. Seriously, I’ve just watched this and now I’m wondering what day it even is, it’s that wild of a ride.
I can’t get over how incredible Anya Taylor-Joy is coming across in these trailers, and you also get to see a bit more of Chris Hemsworth as Warlord Dementus – it looks like it’s going to be one helluva film!
Here’s the official description:
As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.
According to Miller when previously discussing the movie, the story takes place over the course of 15 years leading directly to the events of Mad Max: Fury Road. Here’s what he had to say:
The story is the saga of Furiosa, and how she gets taken from home, and spends the rest of her life trying to get back. [In] Fury Road, the story unfolds over three days and two nights. This film follows the story that runs directly into Fury Road, for 15 years.
Check out the full trailer below, because no amount of words can do this justice.
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a more over-the-top action trailer in my life. Which is a good thing, right? There’s just so much to take in, I’m debating whether to watch it again or leave it until I get to the cinema. I’m still a bit dazed.
And you’ll be able to watch Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga when it’s released in cinemas on May 24th!
