SyFy have already given the thumbs up to a web series of Blood and Chrome which features a young William “Husker” Adama.
Now the channel as agreed to the production of a two hour pilot for TV.
Blood & Chrome takes place in the 10th year of first Cylon war. Adama is barely in his 20s and is just an ensign, a recent Academy graduate, who finds himself assigned to the newest battlestar in the fleet. That’s right; the Galactica.
Daivd Eick, executive producer, told press;
“While maintaining the themes of politics, social propaganda, and the timeless question: what does it mean to be human? – ‘Blood & Chrome’ will also return us to the authentic, relentless depiction of combat and the agony and ecstasy of human-Cylon war, which was the hallmark of ‘Battlestar Galactica’s’ early seasons,”
Fans have begun to ask whether the greenlight for Blood & Chrome marks the end of Caprica.
Is SyFy planning to swap out spinoffs?
