The latest trailer for Interview With the Vampire season two has just dropped, and shows Louis (played by Jacob Anderson) unearthing some more horrors from his life to journo Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian).
This season follows Louis and Claudia (Delainey Hayles) to Paris, where it seems they just can’t get away from their old master, Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid).
Yes, some of you may already have guessed it, but this is the Theatre Des Vampires chapter in Louis’ life, and there’s going to be a hecka lotta drama in this slightly reimagined tale of Anne Rice‘s Interview With the Vampire.

I don’t know about you, but I’m enjoying this very different take on Interview With the Vampire… as long as I think of it as a completely separate thing to the books and movies, that is.
Of course, I’m very familiar with both of those, and so I have a good idea of some of the major plot points, but the rest is often a surprise, and I find some of the differences (like the sex – all of the sex – between vampires and vampires and humans) really quite jarring. You won’t find that in the books!
I don’t know what it means for the ‘Anne Rice Immortal Universe’ if all the vampires are having sex with each other as well as potentially with mortals now. Bring back the old days where drinking each other’s blood would suffice! Urgh. Sorry. Rant over.
And you’ll be able to watch Interview With the Vampire when it returns to AMC and AMC+ on 12th May.
