About the Discworld

Steve Jackson Games first released the RPG in 1998 under the title GURPS Discworld, followed by a supplement and then a standalone version in 2002. A revised Second Edition came out in 2016 with its own custom ruleset.
These games hold a special place as they were created in consultation with Sir Terry Pratchett. While not strictly canon, they carry his playful spirit and offer the chance to explore the Discworld through his guidance.
The game’s design credits both Phil Masters and Terry Pratchett, a true testament to their collaboration. Steve Jackson affirms Pratchett as co-author, making the Discworld Roleplaying Game a unique treasure where the author’s own words shape the experience.
