We’ve got a fun trailer for you today, for an indie sci-fi comedy film called Foil, in which two friends discover an unusual piece of potentially alien foil from a UFO crash site in the California desert. Pure chaos ensues.
Here’s the official synopsis:
After opting out of their high school reunion to reconnect on a desert camping trip, Rex and Dexter realize their intentions for the weekend are at odds. Dexter, a failed filmmaker, hopes to harness a fabled vortex in the area to inspire a movie idea.
Rex, a rebellious conspiracy theorist, plans to investigate a rumored UFO crash believed to explain the anomaly. Tensions quickly boil over when they meet an unusually friendly camper who claims to have found some wreckage from the crash: a mysterious piece of shiny foil.
In over their heads, the two friends are unsure what to believe. Reconciling their past may be the only way either of them walks out of this desert with a future.
This movie looks a bit off-the-chain, and was made by filmmaker Zach Green, who wrote the script alongside Devin O’Rourke. Foil stars Chris Doubek as Tom, Brian McGuire, Devin O’Rourke, Zach Green, Ari Stidham, Ashley Rae Spillers, and Jasmine Wattar.
Foil will be released by Cranked Up Films direct-to-VOD starting on 10th May.
