Netflix has just released the full trailer for sci-fi action thriller Atlas, starring Jennifer Lopez and directed by Brad Peyton (San Andreas, Rampage).
The script was written by Leo Sardarian and Aron Eli Coleite, and centres on tracking down an AI humanoid robot who was supposed to make things better for humans, but guess what, they did the opposite. What a surprise! Shook.
Lopez takes on the role of Atlas Shepherd, “a brilliant but misanthropic data analyst with a deep distrust of artificial intelligence, joins a mission to capture a renegade robot with whom she shares a mysterious past. But when plans go awry, her only hope of saving the future of humanity from AI is to trust it.”
I’m not sure on this one yet, but I’ll probably watch it anyway because J-Lo.
The cast also includes Simu Liu, Sterling K. Brown, Gregory James Cohan, Abraham Popoola, Lana Parrilla, and Mark Strong.
The film is set to debut on Netflix on Friday, 24th May.
