Atari is putting its most engaged fans in the drivers’ seat to help design its next game; a centipede-themed card game, where fans will vote on key elements such as the title, gameplay mechanics, and art style.
This new community-led initiative from Atari allows fans to participate in the heart of the development process, where they’ll get to have their say.
Starting last Thursday, all Atari Club members were invited to cast their votes, with the voting period ending on Thursday 2nd May – so, there’s still time to get your vote in! Not a member yet? You can sign up at atari.club.
This project is the latest milestone in Atari’s ongoing commitment to involve the fan community in product decisions, something that’s been a foundational promise of the Atari Club.
Initiatives so far have seen fans go from designing unique clothing patches for apparel collections to now shaping a card game, and it’s a really smart move from Atari. The brand is elevating the scope of community engagement, reinforcing a meaningful partnership with its members.
The Club Made initiative is about more than creating products; it’s about growing a community, allowing it to become a driving vehicle for community engagement, gathering valuable insights, and fostering a sense of ownership and pride among Club members. Which I think is really nice, actually.
Hmmm. If I were to vote on a centipede visual, it’d have to be the one on the right. Lookit how cute! I don’t see how anyone could choose any differently, my choice is firm.
What do you think of the latest news from Atari? No human centipede jokes, please – but which centipede OF THE THREE PICTURED would you choose? And do you feel strongly enough to vote?
