What do we know about the Edge of Mythos and the Dream City Knights?

Alternatively, Geek Native briefly caught up with Edge of Mythos’ Alexandros Papadakis and got permission to showcase some of the game’s art and learn more about the Dream City Knights.

Dream City Knights is an immersive role-playing game that transports players to a world where the boundaries between dreams and reality are blurred. In this game, players assume the roles of a group of teenage friends who have discovered an extraordinary ability – the power to enter the enigmatic Dream City while they sleep. As they navigate this surreal landscape, they must solve the mysteries of the Tower and confront the challenges of being guardians of Dream City, all while balancing the complexities of their waking lives.

Edge of Mythos believes that a rich and detailed world to explore will draw players into a thrilling and unforgettable adventure.

What makes Dream City Knights different?

Alexandros called out four key features.

Innovative Duality System:
Players in Dream City Knights will experience the unusual mechanics of the Duality System, where a character’s actions are affected by their Focus, representing dual attributes for both the waking and dream realms. This unique system pushes players to adjust to the changing realities of their journey, blurring the boundaries between dreams and reality.

Epic Storytelling:
Gamers will have their mix of exciting adventure, action plus mystery and intrigue in Dream City. The Dream City Knights characters will unravel the secrets of the enigmatic Tower and build bonds with fellow guardians as they navigate the fragile balance between dreams and reality.

Dynamic Encounters:
Dream City Knights must face the challenge of Nightmare Encounters with reactive gameplay mechanics that keep players on their toes. Players must unravel each objective and strategize with friends to overcome the dream world’s challenges.

Team Dynamics:
In this game, gaming groups will manage the team’s morale and trouble as they make decisions that affect their reputation and grades in both the waking and dream worlds.
