World Builder Bob and Eventyr Games teamed up to make Delve and have smashed their $10,000 funding goal. We’re at x20 that now and with thousands of backers.
On offer is a D&D and Shadowdark accessory for dungeon design, classes, playable races, and some dungeon adventures. It runs until May 31st on Kickstarter.
Delve provides resources for building and running dungeons. This toolkit contains over 200 pages of content, including 10+ ready-to-play dungeons, 40+ monsters, 40+ magic items, and 40+ traps, hazards, and puzzles. It also includes new dungeoneering equipment and player options.
What are Delve’s key features?
- Dual Compatibility. Both 5E Dungeons & Dragons and Shadowdark RPG versions of Delve are available, with backers receiving both PDF versions at no extra cost ($25), or both PDFs plus a hardcover copy (5E or Shadowdark) for just $40.
- Dungeon Design Toolbox. The supplement enables Game Masters to design and implement traps and challenges quickly.
- Plug-and-Play. Dungeons are designed to be easy for both GMs and players to read and play, providing a fun, engaging experience.
- Innovative Resources. Delve offers digital and physical cards for magic items, creatures, and traps for easy gameplay reference and enhancement.
- Adjustable & Adaptable. Adjusting the theme and difficulty of your dungeons is made easy with guidelines for dungeon adjustments, card handouts, and other quick reference tools.
There’s also a whole bunch of samples with monsters, treasure and player races/ancestries for D&D and Shadowdark.
If you’re thinking “oh-oh, but the revised Player’s Handbook is right around the corner!” fret not – all the new 5E subclasses, races (or species), and feats in DELVE will be perfectly compatible with your favorite version of Dungeons & Dragons 5E!
Backers at $25 get both the 200+ page D&D and Shadowdark PDF editions.
At $40, backers get both PDF editions and one hardback of their choice. Alternatively, backers can go for both PDF editions and a 5e edition for a VTT (which will come out 4 months later).
The “Core Bundles”, one for 5e, one for Shadowdark are the rewards at $90 and as well as the hardback and digital editions include digital assets, item cards, trap cards, monster cards, bookmarks and access to add-ons.
There are also box editions available for backers at $175, which add in dice, both resin and metal, as well as foil monster cards and a storage box.
Delivery is slated for May 2025, about a year from now.
