Archvillain Games‘ Kickstarter for Erevan’s Guide to Death and Beyond has crossed three-quarters of a million Euros in backing and more than 4,500 backers. More than two weeks are left on a campaign which is undoubtedly a candidate to join the $1m tabletop RPG elites.
On offer is a 350-page plus book of 5e rules for macabre creatures, undead races and rules for necromancy and grafting. You can see progress on the pitch page.
Archvilain have made a heroic amount of free-to-download samples available through Google Drive. There’s;
- Monsters such as the Soulbound Skeleton, Bodach and Batmancer.
- Races such as the Dracolichborn and Voidkin.
- Subclasses like the Paladin’s Oat of the Jailer, Fighter’s Netherblood Champion and the Blood Warlock.
- Anecralon.
Anecralon is one of the 10 megabosses in the book, along with a level 1 through 10 campaign setting agnostic adventures, undead grafting mechanics, 75 monsters, 50 craftable items, 10 familiars, 12 subclasses, 40 spells, 12 races and 10 megaboss minis.
Erevan’s Guide focuses on the consequences of Total Party Kill (TPK), allowing players to continue their adventures in the underworld after their characters’ demise.
Backers can support the campaign and get access to some add-ons for just €1, and backers who pledge €28 get the PDF edition of Erevan’s Guide.
At €60, which is about £52, a hardcover of the guide is added to the rewards.
Both physical and digital editions of the guide, The Undying Accord, the handouts Erevan’s Forsaken Spell Scrolls and Mausoleum Notes also in digital and physical are the rewards for €92 backers.
Alternatively, €92 backers could go with a digital bundle with no physical books but which adds in cards for Haunted Relics, Decks of the Damned, Cursed Rituals, Necral Grafts and a VTT Bundle.
Backers who also want STL files in a digital delivery can pledge €184 to add the Gravelord Minis, Demonwraith, Voidblood, Bloodright, Gravetide, Nicodemus, Voragheel, and Sepulcrus.
Those who can afford the shipping and have €220 for a pledge get all the digital and physical core books, liquid core dice and other loot all in a rather impressive-looking box.
The Deluxe Box unlocks at €322 but is not the top tier, adding in more dice and the VTT assets again, among upgrades, including the box itself.
The top tier is a combo of the core minis plus the Deluxe Box, which requires backers to pledge €552 to unlock.
Archvillain Games estimate a June 2025 delivery for physical goodies, May for digital but as early as April 2025 for the digital edition of the core rules. The campaign actually says August 2024 for the hardcover core rules, but that’s unlikely given all the other dates.
The Kickstarter campaign itself wraps on the 20th.
