It’s official. House of the Dragon (AKA ‘Big Dragon House’ as I like to call it) has been renewed for season three, with season two not even out yet.
However, it shouldn’t really be a surprise to anyone who’s been paying attention to what George R.R. Martin‘s been up to, as he had previously said he was working alongside the writing team of seasons three and four.
The Season 2 will see much of the cast return, including Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, Rhys Ifans, Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, and Matthew Needham.
Good to know for sure it’s definitely going ahead, although I’m honestly in a bit of a quandary. Part of me is really excited for season two, and part of me doesn’t want to watch any dragons get hurt or killed because that kind of thing upsets me! I know, wuss or what?
House of the Dragon season two will premiere on Sunday, 16th June on HBO, and will be streaming streaming on Max.
