One thing we’ve learned about Donald Glover is that he doesn’t like to talk about things before he does them; he just does them. He shows us when he’s ready, and everyone ends up gobsmacked when it lands flawlessly.
That’s exactly what he’s done with his new mystery sci-fi, which he’s apparently written and directed himself, called Bando Stone & The New World. AND if that wasn’t enough, dude also wrote the entire soundtrack.
The movie looks incredibly good fun with a bit of an ’80s vibe – as well as being an IMAX exclusive. The trailer made its debut this weekend in IMAX screenings of A Quiet Place: Day One
If you like a bit of a Lost vibe, complete with killer giant animals, badass female leads, laser grids and vomit, don’t hesitate to watch the trailer below – and ask yourself, who will you be when the world ends?
Me? I already told Girdy I’d protect him from zombies, so I guess this film is a good reminder to sign up to advance weaponry classes. Or something.
As for when Bando Stone & The New World is out, as of now it’s a damn mystery, but it DOES say 2024 at some point.
