I wanted to share a bit of nostalgia today, by way of this ‘making-of’ documentary for the 1990 live-action film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I used to own this VHS, but I don’t remember ever watching this doc before!
Behind the Shells gave fans some insight into the making of the first two live-action TMNT films, with some really fun behind-the-scenes shots, creator interviews and other interesting tidbits from the cast and crew. Iono, it just feels like my childhood a little bit.
So, if you were a fan of TMNT growing up (I know I was, and even owned stuffed toys of these guys) then this is a fun wee watch.
The turtles have certainly come a long way, and although I’ve loved some of the recent TMNT stuff, it’s good to look back at where they started, too (and thanks to GeekTyrant for sharing).
