A new trailer has just dropped from A24 for an upcoming romance called We Live in Time, starring Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield – and it’s well worth a watch.
I’m saying this as someone who isn’t that much into romance movies, but for some reason this one just kind of got me. Maybe because it’s got more of a ‘real’ feeling about it, the characters are charming, and there’s something about the chaotic moments in time captured that really spoke to me.
Here’s the official description:
Almut (Florence Pugh) and Tobias (Garfield) are brought together in a surprise encounter that changes their lives. As they embark on a path challenged by the limits of time, they learn to cherish each moment of the unconventional route their love story has taken.
It feels like a lot of heart has gone into this film, directed by John Crowley (Brooklyn) and it’s being described as a “deeply moving romance.” I can well see why.
