Publisher Strange Machine Games has a successful range of Robotech supplements for their TTRPG based on the anime.
Among the Stars has smashed its crowdfunding targets and introduced Sentinels, Haydonites, Invid, and UEEF. You can see progress on the pitch page.
To survive, humankind must explore the stars.
Among the Stars is not a standalone game; you need Robotech: The Macross Saga Roleplaying Game, which you can get as an add-on in the crowdfunding campaign.
The supplement adds 285 more colour pages to the Robotech collection with new races, mecha, ships and more rules. There are also new scenarios and heroes.
Significantly, there’s a full exploration of Sentinels’ lore and an expansion of Shadow Chronicles.
There’s a Japan-gotcha, though, and I presume it’s due to licensing as Strange Machine Games can’t ship any Robotech there.
As we’ll see in the rewards, this Kickstarter is also being used to fund several other variants and expansions.
Backers at $15 get the PDF of Robotech: Among the Stars in PDF or can get the Savage Worlds Omnibus in PDF.
Those Robotech fans who pledge $59 will get both a hardback and a PDF copy of the supplement. There are cover options and backers, depending on which tier is picked, can select from the Imperial or the Shadow Alternate.
At $60, backers could go for a PDF and hardcover of Robotech: Savage Worlds Omnibus. That’s also the amount, as a different option, all the previous Robotech PDFs can be secured as rewards.
There are several more tiers after that; $90 for a limited and Premium cover of Among the Stars, $120 for a hardcover of your choice and PDF bundle or $160 for a bigger one. There are $170, $200, $365 and two $400 options.
With all these options, there are also several different estimated delivery dates, ranging from the beginning of 2025 to the end of it.
The Kickstarter runs until August 17.
