Titan has just announced a new Runescape comic book, which will explore untold stories from the computer game’s lore.
“Runescape: Untold Tales of the God Wars” is a four-part miniseries from writer Ryan O’Sullivan (Void Trip) and artists Sid Kotian (Gambit, The Adventures of Apocalypse Al) and Daniel Bayliss (RuneScape FCBD edition). Published by Titan Comics, the series kicks off with an oversized first issue this October, following a cryptic teaser in Titan’s Free Comic Book Day edition last year.
Expanding Titan Comics’ RuneScape collection, this new series delves into the God Wars dungeon, exploring the Temple of Lost Ancients during the iconic conflict. As four armies clash over the Godsword, a weapon capable of killing gods, the story focuses on Maro, trapped in the centre of the chaos and yearning for freedom from his master’s control.
Since its release in 2001, over 320m RuneScape accounts have been created across PC, Steam and iOS and Android mobile platforms. Set in the medieval fantasy realm of Gielinor, both RuneScape and the retro styled Old School RuneScape take players on an open-ended adventure in a vast ever evolving world brimming with diverse races, guilds and ancient gods, challenging them to take on varied quests and a host of unique monsters.
Titan has released five different covers for issue one of the mini-series.

The series will be available in October through Forbidden Planet, a sister company to Titan, and other retailers via Diamond.
The physical copies of the comic come with a code to unlock 200 Runecoins.
