Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have strongly hinted they’d love to see a Deadpool, Wolverine & Spider-Man power trio, and we’re 100% here for it.
Reynold, in response to a question posed by Marvel Thailand, said:
Deadpool is…part of his storyline is he wants to matter. He so badly wants to be an Avenger or part of a team and he just can’t quite get there. Wolverine is everything I wish I was. He’s a legend, he matters, he saves people, he’s done hero stuff. If I could pick one, I’d love to play with Spider-Man.
Jackman chimed in with: “That would be cool. I agree, he’s so cool. He’s young. We could pile on him and abuse him.”
Reynolds replied with: “You can hit him as hard as you want. He gets right back up.”
It’s an interesting choice for Reynolds to have come up with, considering how Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy had previously mentioned that he’d “love” to make a Deadpool & Spider-Man movie!
The thing about Deadpool is I think he makes everything more interesting because of his audacity. But, boy, I’d sure love to see Deadpool and Spidey. That’s a movie I’d love to make. I feel like Tom Holland would run circles around everyone else.
I mean, the fact they so easily made Deadpool & Wolverine happen makes me think this is something that could really, genuinely be on the cards… but then, we’ll have to wait and see what Tom Holland has to say about it!
