Let’s face it, Deadpool & Wolverine has been all for the fans, and now stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman has responded to its incredible (but unsurprising) box office success by recreating the classic ‘Sad Wolverine’ meme.
In the first three days of release, the movie has made a staggering $444.3 million globally, and there’s no doubt it’s going to hit the billion mark over the next few weeks, with many fans saying they’re already gearing up to go and see it again!
To celebrate, Reynolds and Jackman have recreated this classic meme featuring a lovesick Logan laying back on his back staring at a photo of Jean Grey – and posted it on social media, of course.
Let’s start with Jackman’s version, in which the photo he’s holding simply says ‘#1 Movie in the World’. This would have been pretty good on its own, but then we’ve got Reynolds’ meme, with Deadpool looking at the Logan photo Jackman posted.
Personally, I love that they’ve done this, and it does absolutely reinforce the fact this is all about the fans, and we know they’re going to appreciate this extra gesture.
