London-based Division 6 is on Kickstarter to crowdfund a TTRPG of the same name. Created by writer Luthaneal Adams, the sci-fi setting merges psychic power and magic for supernatural threats.
The campaign goal was £10,000, and with about three weeks still to run, that target has been hit. You can see progress on the pitch page.
There’s a mature theme content warning on the free-to-download and Google-drive-hosted Division 6 quickstart.
In Division 6, players step into the shoes of sorcerers and psions working for a law enforcement agency dedicated to protecting humanity from supernatural threats. Think of it as The X-Files reimagined in a sci-fi future, where Mulder wields magic, and Scully possesses powerful psychic abilities.
The core rules have eight Psion classes, ranging from Biometic to Pyroknetic, and ten Sorcerer Guilds, such as The Order of Aset or The Seven Winds.
The sci-fi future also includes cybernetic implants, but that also means the baddies can have retractable chainsaws.
The Division 6 core rulebook is a 430 page hardback book, featuring 16 chapters, covering the world of Division 6 and its wider universe, Magical Guilds and Psion Classes, character creation, Psion powers and Sorcerer magic, futuristic technology and cybernetic upgrades, NPC’s, rules of the game, and how to run a game.
Backers who pledge £30 or more unlock the core rules, and there’s worldwide shipping. Add-ons include art and dice.
Those who step up to £40 also get the Cat’s Eye Blind adventure book or Railroad adventure book, and at £50, backers can get both those two.
At £60, backers also get the Division 6 GM screen and dice, but that’s a limited tier.
Division 6 estimates a delivery in September this year, and that’s not long to wait. The Kickstarter runs until September 1st!
