D&D was born in 1974, and we’re in a year of merch. However, this pin badge collector has noticed a Forbidden Planet exclusive.
Only 1974 of the box set of three will be created, and each box will be individually numbered.
The officially licensed collection showcases iconic monsters;
- Beholder
- Mind Flayer
- Mimic (looking like a chest – of course)
All the badges are finished in an antique gold detail. The Mind Flayer is the tallest badge at 60mm (2.4 inches), and the widest is 47mm (1.9 inches).
The listed manufacturer is Fanattik, which means these collectables differ from the Godzilla set that Forbidden Planet made themselves. Fanattik does seem to have a D&D license, though, and a host of niche D&D merch such as a Lady of Pain Medallion, Beholder medallions and a Tomb of Horrors bottle opener.
