Designed by Shanna Germain and in a world created by Mr. Cuddington, Tidal Blades is a Cypher System tabletop RPG set in a beautiful archipelago where peoples cooperate… but the Fold is failing. The monsters it once kept at bay are coming.
Welcome to Naviri, a peaceful paradise full of promise—and in dire need of heroes.
The game is now on pre-order at Mone Cook Games and a 29-page, free to download, preview is available at DriveThruRPG.
Tidal Blades will be a complete RPG due in September. The book promises;
- Two ready-to-play adventures.
- Streamlined rules for quick, story-focused gameplay.
- Flexible character creation system.
- Detailed setting information.
- Creatures, NPCs, items, vehicles, and magical devices.
The game has PCs explore the world of Naviri, protect their home with friends, face sea monsters, race boats, make friends with local creatures, compete in challenges, and become legendary heroes defending Naviri as Tidal Blades!
Sample character concepts from Monte Cook Games for Tidal Blade include;
- Salamander Explorer who Sails the Howling Sea,
- Sharp-Eyed Cuttlebeard Adept who Studies Anomalies,
- Brash Turtle Fighter who Brandishes a Shell Shield
Gamers familiar with the Cypher System will recognise the model. Characters are illustrated by three-part sentences;
“I’m an [adjective] [noun] who [verbs].”
The final book will come in at 416 pages and is illustrated by Mr. Cuddington. It’s Cuddington art in this blog post.
