He's blooded as Marvel put Wolverine out for Revenge

Jonathan Hickman and Greg Capullo’s Wolverine: Revenge is due this week.

The beaten and bloodied X-Man will go up against Sabretooth, Omega Red and… Deadpool.

Yeah, so there are dinosaurs in that trailer and Wolverine in Magneto’s helmet.

Wolverine: Revenge, a 5-issue series celebrating the iconic character’s 50th anniversary, promises pure, unadulterated action. For those craving even more intensity, special Red Band Editions will be available, featuring exclusive content and heightened violence within protective polybag packaging.

Greg Capullo returned to Marvel Comics only last year and this is a presitge series for him. In an interview with Polygon, he said;

I’ve finally returned home to Marvel, and I’m ready to raise some Hell. And, who better to do that with than the Hitman Hickman? To celebrate, Marvel has removed the fences and let us off our leash so that we can bring the most vicious and punishing Wolverine story possible to the fans this summer. I hope they’re prepared.”

Wolverine: Revenge’s unclear timeline, featuring Captain America and a younger Nick Fury, suggests a possible Cold War setting where Wolverine battles Colossus, who may still be aligned with the Soviet Union.
