The second edition of SCP The Tabletop RPG is out and free.
26 Letter Publishing‘s 204-page RPG was added to DrivethruRPG earlier this week and boasts a 4/5 star rating after a couple of reviews.
The SCP Foundation is a fictional organisation that contains and studies anomalous objects, entities, and phenomena that defy natural law, known as “SCPs.” This vast collaborative writing project has captured the imaginations of countless internet users, spawning a rich tapestry of interconnected stories, tales of intrigue, and spine-tingling horror.
The SCP Foundation’s origins can be traced back to the depths of 4chan’s /x/ board in 2007. It began with a simple post featuring a sculpture and an accompanying description, formatted like a scientific document detailing its anomalous properties. This first SCP, designated SCP-173, quickly sparked a wave of creativity, with other users contributing their creations.
Soon, a dedicated wiki was established, providing a centralised platform for these collaborative efforts. Over the years, the SCP Foundation has grown into a sprawling online community, attracting writers, artists, and enthusiasts who continue to expand this ever-evolving universe of anomalies.
26 Letter say;
Prepare yourself for an unparalleled tabletop role-playing experience in the world of the SCP Foundation, based on the ever-growing internet phenomenon of science-fiction horror known simply as “S.C.P.”. In this ttrpg the boundaries between the known and the unknown begin to blur, and your next decision could determine the fate of humanity.
SCP The Tabletop RPG Second Edition offers dynamic character creation with three different methods, innovative mechanics allowing players to take on diverse roles like D-class personnel or even an anomaly, and thrilling simulation-style campaigns where choices impact the narrative. This creates a world filled with moral dilemmas, eldritch horrors, and unexpected alliances.
The game uses the standard 7-set gaming dice, none of which need to be evil (but it would be on theme) and is licensed under Creative Commons Sharealike 3.0.
The PDF is free, but the print-on-demand physical book is not.
