The electronic prop replica is exclusive to the geeky merch site. The chainsaw is designed to look like it’s been used in combat, with fake blood splatter. It’s a full-size, wearable replica with sound effects.
It’s a demure chainsaw, though. It needs only three AAA batteries to run, and they’re included.

In “Army of Darkness,” the wisecracking, chainsaw-wielding Ash Williams finds himself trapped in the 1300s after a mishap with the Necronomicon, the ancient Book of the Dead. He is thrust into a medieval world overrun by the undead, where his modern-day skills and sarcastic wit are initially met with suspicion.
Ash’s destiny is connected to the fate of the world. He needs to find the Necronomicon, say “Klaatu barada nikto,” and return to his own time. On his journey, he encounters hordes of Deadites, faces a skeletal version of himself, and even falls in love with a local woman. Through funny mishaps and epic battles, Ash accepts his role as the unwilling hero and leads the charge against the Army of Darkness.
Why is the prop on sale now? We can’t say, but we do notice that on Sunday morning, Armies of Darkness will be available on Amazon Prime.
