In the Mazes system, polymorph, each hero is represented by a single polyhedral die, which determines the outcome of all their actions, whether tattling a dragon, commanding an army, brewing a potion, or providing healing.
The full version of Return to Dark Tower is also available. The PDF, published by 9th Level Games, costs $25.
Return to Dark Tower Fantasy Roleplaying is a fully developed fantasy RPG, officially authorized and based on the popular board game Return to Dark Tower by Restoration Games. It also draws inspiration from the original Dark Tower board game from the 1980s.
The (full) Return to Dark Tower RPG is designed for 3 to 5 sessions, forming a “campaign”. Players collaboratively create or choose an Adversary, with one player becoming the Maze Controller (MC), essentially the game master. The MC runs the game and challenges the other players.
The remaining players create a Hero and a Companion from one of the Four Kingdoms. Their goal is to gather allies, armies, and powerful artefacts to combat the Adversary. They undertake quests and explore dungeons to strengthen themselves or weaken their enemies.
