Funding the BackerKit-hosted Sleepy Hollow by new Kids in the Attic took less than a day.
The Year Zero Engine-powered game of 19th-century New England folk horror is from Rick Hershey, Lucus Palosaari and Geoff Gander. You can see progress on the pitch page.
The game is set 20 years after the disappearance of Ichabod Crane. Rumours of the Headless Horseman and other horrors persist, as does the darkness in Sleepy Hollow.
Kids in the Attic promises an eerie and unsettling game that explores the line between the natural world and the supernatural as characters tackle generation-long mysteries.
There’s a content warning for graphic violence, body horror, occult and emotional distress.
Stretch goals will add more books such as Ichabod Crane’s Field Guide to Uncanny Creatures, Folk Magic: Spells and Charms of the Hollow and the adventure book A Little Darkness.
The Sleepy Hollow corebook is a complete and immersive folk horror role-playing game, fully equipped to transport players to the eerie world of 19th-century Sleepy Hollow. Utilizing the Year Zero Engine, this system is known for its intuitive mechanics and narrative-driven approach, allowing for a seamless and engaging gameplay experience. The game offers a rich blend of history, folklore, and horror, meticulously crafted to provide both depth and flexibility.
The pledge levels are straightforward, and backers offering $10 in support get access to the PDF edition of Sleepy Hollow.
The DriveThruRPG-enabled print-on-demand at-cost coupons are added to the PDF copies for backers who can step up to $25.
Other Kids in the Attic cames are available as add-ons.
The Sleepy Hollow RPG crowdfunding campaign finishes on October 1st.
