New Holland Brewing Co. partnered with Wizards of the Coast for official Dungeons & Dragons beers. Those drinks, Dragon’s Milk, stouts and ales, are thankfully not supplied in bottles shaped like dragon teats.
The Wizards of the Coast brand team must have liked the partnership because they’ve signed off on more adult drinks with New Holland Brewing.
A limited edition D20 Brew Bourbon Barrel Stout and an Origin Mead Cask Bourbon Whiskey will be available in November, but only to select stores and their website.
A related line of merchandise, including wearables and glassware, will be available from the Dragon’s Milk store later this week.
Brett Vanderkamp, CEO and founder of New Holland Brewing Company.
Brewed with the same passion that fuels D&D adventures, Dragon’s Milk has a nationally renowned reputation as a bold, legendary beverage. Not only does our work with Hasbro allow us to honour D&D’s 50-year history, but it also underscores our shared values of creating savoured moments and forging lasting friendships.”
The range has done well. Dragon’s Milk Origin Small Batch Bourbon achieved the highest honour – a double gold medal – at the 2022 New York International Spirits Competition. It was also recognized as the “Best in Class” bourbon at the 2023 American Distilling Institute’s (ADI) International Spirits Competition and received a Platinum medal at Fred Minnick’s Ascot Awards in 2023.
Jess Lanzillo, Head of D&D Product and Franchise at Wizards of the Coast, repeated the “D&D isn’t just a game” line we’ve been hearing lately and, in a press statement, added,
“We’re super excited to be teaming up with New Holland for D&D’s big anniversary. Together, we’re building on what makes D&D so cool – bringing people together through the shared experience of adventure.”
