Writer and illustrator Erin Anderson is funding Interrupted Interment. The 5e system has characters such as ghosts, skeletons, and vampires.
The author of Memoir of a Mad Scientist is also part of the Dugongs and Seadragons podcast, and there aren’t many marine science D&D shows. The crowdfunding concludes on September 25th.
In Interrupted Interment, a D&D 5e adventure for Level 5 characters, players delve into the secrets of their characters’ past lives as they build a fulfilling afterlife. They’ll need to navigate a tricky encounter with a necromancer, battle a greedy Count, and solve the mystery of their own deaths—all while remaining incognito.
Erin has thoughtfully crafted unique character sheets for each type, allowing players to embody their chosen undead persona. In the game, characters emerge from their graves to explore the town and unearth the secrets of their former lives. Whether phasing through walls as a ghost, weaponizing their zombie stench, healing themselves with vampiric blood magic, or reassembling their skeletal forms, each character possesses unique abilities to aid them in their quest. As they navigate their new un-life, players may encounter familiar faces and unravel the mysteries of their past.
If funded, Interrupted Interment will have over 30 pages, 20 illustrations and maps.
You awake in darkness… Reaching out, your hand touches a rough, crumbling surface only inches from your face. Time to start digging.
Backers at $10 will get a PDF copy of the game, and the estimated delivery date is October 2024. If everything goes according to plan, that will be in time for Halloween.
There’s a physical book and PDF combo at $25, but with shipping only supported in some countries. That book is signed for backers at $75.
At higher tiers backers get to be part of the project with $150 unlocking ‘Design an NPC’ and $250 becoming an illustrated NPC.
The physical book is slated for February 2025.
