French publisher Sumida, an indie based in Paris, has found success with their first Kickstarter. The result? A module that turns D&D characters into goats.
Sumida says they’re bad at marketing, but the crowdfunding is racing to the stretch goats (including a goat-themed character sheet), and you can see progress on the pitch page.
The goat-tastic idea is that a regular D&D games is subverted when every character, villain and creature becomes a goat. Sumida suggests, rightly, this is a unique concept.
DnD but everyone is a Goat! is 45-page module and will have ways to covert the eight base D&D character classes, offer new rules and mechanics, side quests and custom items.
However, what the Kickstarter pitches do not offer is a why this happened, but an imaginative twist is within most DM’s capabilities.
Imagine your rogue goat trying to pickpocket with hooves, or your wizard goat attempting to cast spells with a flick of its tail. This module is designed to inject humor and creativity into your sessions, ensuring endless entertainment and unexpected twists.
Backers who pledge €6 (about £6) will get a PDF copy of DnD but everyone is a Goat!.
If you’re not keen on digital and think paper is the G.O.A.T. then the print-on-demand version unlocks at €9.
The estimated delivery for DnD but everyone is a Goat! is November. Your non-goat Cleric is safe for this Halloween at least.
The Kickstarter runs until October 3rd.
