“Let’s blow up these second-hand baloney boys.”
The trailer has just dropped for a very refreshing, exciting and bonkers-looking new sci-fi comedy film Mickey 17 starring Robert Pattinson, from Parasite director Bong Joon-ho.
In it, Pattinson’s character is constantly brought back to life to die in various horrible scenarios – which he himself apparently signed on for in his job as an ‘expendable’.
The film is based on the 2022 novel Mickey7 by author Edward Ashton, and so far it’s giving us Moon vibes, but with a stellar cast, bigger budget and nice visuals to look at. What’s not to love?!
Alongside Pattinson, the cast includes Toni Collette as Gwen Johansen, Steven Yeun as Berto, Mark Ruffalo as Hieronymous Marshall, Naomi Ackie as Nasha Adjaya, Holliday Grainger as Red Hair, Angus Imrie as Shrimp Eyes, and Steve Park as Agent Zeke. Also cast are Anamaria Vartolomei, Thomas Turgoose, Patsy Ferran, and Daniel Henshall in undisclosed roles.
Anyway, check out the incredibly fun but bonkers trailer below – I cannot wait for this one!
Mickey 17 will be released in cinemas in the United States on 22nd January, and elsewhere (including the UK) on 28th January. Bring it on!
