Meta’s ad algorithm hooked me up with an interesting collection of metal sculptures that used tealights to shine with an eerie light or cast shadows.
Does it sound like a success? Sadly, the lack of any personality on the site made me suspicious, and a little investigation revealed that the vendor was a dropship front.
Game over? Kinda, but I admit that I was so delighted by the idea that I searched around and found the core set on Fruugo.co.uk.
Mothman shadow caster
A winged creature with glowing red eyes, the Mothman haunts the skies of Point Pleasant. Sightings in the 1960s sparked a legend, linking the cryptid to disaster and the unknown. The Mothman remains a chilling enigma, whether a natural phenomenon or a product of fear.
Krampus shadow caster
A horned, anthropomorphic figure from Alpine folklore, Krampus is the dark counterpart to Saint Nicholas. While Saint Nick rewards good children, Krampus punishes the naughty with birch rods or even carries them away in his sack. His presence is a cautionary tale, reminding children of the importance of good behaviour during Christmas.
Dancing skeletons
The veil between worlds thins on Halloween night, and the undead rise from their graves. Zombies, ghosts, and ghouls roam the streets, seeking treats or perhaps a taste of brains. It’s a night where the dead walk among us, adding a chilling thrill to the festivities.
Fruugo at least admits to being a cross-border shopping marketplace, but it has well over 15% 1/5 star reviews. It’s not a clean bill of health, but the best I could do! Mind you, I imagine you could find a metal worker on Etsy to create something similar, or someone who has created something similar.
