Steam’s Next Fest will run from the 14th of October to the 21st. The event celebrates upcoming games, and Geek Native has a sneak peek of screen grabs of a quirky, fun game from Dusk Wave Arts
In Barheim, you must keep thirsty and angry Vikings satisfied with their trip to this most famous tavern in all the realms. As the bartender, you’ve got to remember orders, mix drinks, load the BREWCANNØN! and launch the drinks straight at the Vikings.

About the game
I’ve had the chance to play some Barheim so stay tuned for some first impressions. I can tell you right now that I’m terrible at it. The coordination and speed required to mix the drinks, race to the cannon, load it, aim, fire and repeat is much tougher than it seems. I’m prone to racing back to mix more drinks without finishing with the cannon.
Created with Unity, FMOD, and Articy, this engaging story-driven game about preparing and serving drinks is compatible with Windows (64-bit) and requires 2GB of disk space. Supports keyboard, mouse, and gamepad controls.
California-based Dusk Wave Arts, an independent studio specialising in comics and game development, recently marked its 10th anniversary. The studio, which also celebrated the 10th anniversary of its first comic, “The Gloves,” this summer, is founded on principles of diversity, inclusion, and creative freedom, with a focus on supporting neurodivergent individuals.
Geek Native believes that Barheim will be released on Steam on October 21st, at the end of Next Fest.
