The latest Tales of Alethrion is a music video for I Don’t Wanna Be A Hero, which shows much of the charm and RPG mystery of the first.
“I Don’t Wanna Be a Hero” was composed and performed by Mathias Valiant with choir vocals by Maisy Kay. Serving as the theme song for Mik and Ken, the track accompanies animations from the 14th episode of Choose Their Path, bringing the story to life with its lyrical narrative.
Tales of Alethrion is a 2D animated fantasy web series created by Mikkel Mainz and Kenneth Ladekjer. It follows various adventurers whose paths intertwine as they explore a fantastical world full of lore and danger, often in pursuit of a mysterious treasure map. “I Don’t Wanna Be a Hero” ends with a treasure map, making us wonder if that’s the connection.
The series is known for its unique non-dialogue storytelling, relying on expressive animation and music to convey the narrative. I think we see that here, too.
